My Dog Toby, An Endearing Friend. English/Spanish

This is Toby, who is more than a good friend to me. We don’t see each other every day, but every time we meet again it is as if it were the first, he always jumps, barks and moves his tail full of joy. There is nothing compared to that. Many times, we go out together and take a walk in the neighborhood and its parks. We have our own language and we understand each other. Toby has immense eyes and there are many things that I see through them. When the walk becomes too long, and Toby gets exhausted, I carry him in my arms and he rests his head on my shoulder, and that relieve my tiredness. Those simple and little details that I have with him are the ones that he appreciates with his endless friendship. Toby is very agile, runs like a deer, stands on two legs when he is hungry, and his barking, they come like music to my heart, because they tell me that Toby is there, and he is happy. Toby is one of those great things that has happened in my life.

Mi perro Toby, un amigo entrañable.
Este es Toby, quien es para mí más que un buen amigo. No nos vemos a diario, pero cada vez que nos reencontramos es como si fuera siempre la primera; salta, ladra y mueve su rabito lleno de la alegría. No hay nada que se pueda comparar con eso. Muchas veces salimos juntos y en los paseos por el vecindario y sus parques conversamos a nuestra manera y nos entendemos. Tiene unos ojos inmensos y hay muchas cosas que veo a través de ellos. Cuando el paseo se hace largo y se agota, lo cargo y descansa su cabeza en mi hombro, eso alivia mi cansancio. Los gestos sencillos y pequeños que tengo con él, me los agradece con su amistad infinita. Toby es muy ágil, corre como un ciervo, se para en dos patas cuando tiene hambre, y sus ladridos, me llegan como música al corazón, porque me indican que Toby está ahí y está feliz. Toby es una de esas grandes cosas que ha pasado en mi vida.
