Intro to The Dodo bird

     The Dodo bird is an extinct animal that lived on a small island. the small island is called Mauritius. some people think that this bird was a fairy tale but it really wasn't. evidence behind that is their are bones of the Dodo bird that proves it was once real. These birds had wings couldn't fly. their habitat was like a forest like the island they lived on. The Dodo bird lived around 300 years ago but they based that on a big tree that was special that lived 300 years ago.

The Dodo bird ate food such as nuts, seeds, and fruits. Its size was 29-51 pounds. it couldn't fly because it was too fat. It is related the Rodriguez solitaire and the Dodo was an intelligent bird

        The Dodo bird went extinct in 1681. (Fun fact) The Dodo bird went extinct simply because they weren't afraid of humans and because of that sailors took advantage of that and the sailors would eat them when they trick the Dodo birds that there friendly. The Dodo bird was related to the pigeon and the Rodriguez solitaire which is a bird.
