We've got a new Time Lady, Whovians
The BBC announced today the successor to the 12th Doctor portrayed by Peter Capaldi. Jodie Whittaker will take the role as the 13th Doctor later this year during the annual Christmas Special. She has recently played one of the main characters in the Broadchurch series, starring alongside former Doctor Who stars David Tennant and Arthur Darvill.
I'm honestly not really surprised they went with a time lady after the introduction of Missy, the most recent incarnation the Doctor's rival, the Master. I will be interested to see what happens and the direction they decide to take with this Doctor. So here's to playing the worst game in the world for the next few months, the waiting game.

It does make sense to go to a older man doctor then to a female.
Ya I'm hoping they make a good transition and don't focus too much on the fact the Doctor is female.
