The Wheel Turns

I begin the eternal cycle,
How it affects my being,
You'd think that I would learn,
From all that I have seen.

Perhaps though I am learning,
On this long road I have walked,
I should have seen the signs,
But I just Talked and talked.

The road ahead is long,
A bitter winding trail,
Through dark and gloomy forest,
Into timeless hill and vale.

Tomorrow I'll look back,
Perhaps not without regret,
The wheel turns on,
Tomorrow I’ll forget.
