DNAtix: Blockchain-Based Genetic Ecosystem

in #dnatix6 years ago

DEOXYRIBONUCLEIC ACID (DNA)

Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a molecule composed of four types of nucleotides (DNA letters) called guanine, cytosine, adenine and thymine and referred to for simplicity as G, C, A and T which coil around each other to form a double helix carrying the genetic instructions used in the growth, development, functioning and reproduction of all known living organisms and many viruses. As the DNA of humans is composed of 3 Billion such letters (found in two copies in almost all cells) the size of a full genome sequence of humans is approximately 715 Megabytes.

DNAtix

DNAtix, the most cutting-edge genetics and blockchain company, is building the infrastructure for the world's genetic blockchain ecosystem. An ecosystem where researchers, hospitals, developers, clinicians and others will develop the next generation of decentralized genetics applications and health management solutions. DNAtix is also delivering a direct-to-consumer platform that offers anonymous and encrypted genome sequencing and genetic services, including digitized DNA analysis, storage and transfer.

The DNAtix genetics ecosystem is a place where consumers and the industry can meet to share genetic data in a more transparent, accessible, applicable and secured manner. DNAtix is the first company to successfully transfer a genetic sequence over the Ethereum Blockchain, and now the first to transfer a complete chromosome. DNAtix is also developing a dedicated Token – the DNATIX token - that will be integrated into the use of its DNAtix genetic platform.

THE COMPRESSION TOOL

Back in May, 2018, the company released its first open-source DNA Compression tool to GitHub. It is almost impossible to transfer genetic data with current blockchain technologies due to size constrains. With this new tool, users can compress a DNA Sequence in FASTA format to 25% of its size. DNAtix is making the compression tool open source to advance cutting-edge personalized and preventive medicine.

To deal with the size limitation of the current blockchain technologies, DNAtix's development team sliced Craig Venter's published DNA sequence into 19 fragments. DNAtix used the Hyperledger Composer tool with JavaScript to transfer the 19 transactions containing the genetic code as metadata. DNAtix will release a whitepaper with an in-depth description of what the development team accomplished.

The concept of the compression tool is actually quite simple. Since DNA is represented by four letters, we can store each letter by using only 2 bits instead of 8 bits, hence, using 75% less bits for each letter of the DNA. This tool is the first in a series of innovative technologies released by DNAtix.

DNATIX TOKEN

DNAtix is in the pre sale stage of its token to fund the delivery of anonymous genetic services at an affordable price point. The DNAtix token has smart contracts built into it enabling the anonymous and secure analysis, transfer, and storage of DNA sequences. The DNAtix wallet will facilitate anonymous payment for a wide range of genetic services. For more information and purchase instructions about DNAtix token sale, you can visit: www.dnatix.com

Total DNATIX tokens to be issued is 150,000,000. 60% of tokens will be offered for sale at all stages = 90,000,000 - Including Bountry programs.
