Carter Beauford is too good of a drummer to be in the Dave Matthews Band IMO.

He deserves someone who can actually sing in the group and who can match his drum technical abilities.

Sad thing is there aren’t enough people on his level in this world so he’ll always make his band mates look not as good.

Carter is on a whole different level than the rest of the band.

I can’t imagine how insanely good it would sound if he had a good singer and guitarists that were as good on the guitar as he is on the drums.

It would be out of this world.

The Dave Matthews Band (DMB) has held Carter back in his career (what he could have done - opportunity cost)

He is still doing amazing today, but I’ll always wonder what could have been had he teamed up with better song writers and better singers.

He could have gone down as the best drummer of all time.

Now he’ll always be chasing the likes of Ginger Baker and Neil Peart even though he’s probably even better than them.
