I think from a general standpoint that we should never post our personal info @ steemit! Think of it, Steemit is so transparent that our wallet balance is so open to everyone to see! We could become targets for all those bad guys who could rob our asses of to get into our steem empire!
I understand your point of view, but keep this in mind that Steemit is a bridge. This means, you can save everything you have in Steemit, or use it to transfer your earning to somewhere hidden. There are many options to keep your earnings hidden.
