One day Ini was taking down garlic and a wasp came from left field and dive bombed his lip. Always safety conscious, he waited until descending the ladder to erupt in curses. We all know cursing on ladders leads to bad luck- or is that walking beneath them?
This was one of the red wasps that occasionally show up on our land. In the first year, Wren got stung by such a wasp and her throat seemed like it would close up for a minute. Scary! Luckily the Benadryl took the shock reaction down quickly.
Now we keep a first aid kit on the property!
And for the record, the garlic was totally worth it. Now Ini knows he doesn’t need Botox.
That happens to me too i swell up like a balloon its just crazy how a little insect like a bee can do so much damage, yeah but its way cheaper then botox lol

Oh my goodness!! My son swells horribly! We keep lots of Benadryl on hand and in various forms!
Wasps and hornets can pack a punch for sure.

We had it hanging to cure at the peak of building. Best ventilation there.
Haha, cheaper than a collagen injection too! Is he doing okay now, no serious reaction beyond swelling?
Ahah, it certainly gave us a reason to laugh. It was swollen For 5 hours, nothing else. My sister has had SEVERE reaction to wasp stings though, almost died! I'm blessed to have walked away with only a funny picture.
Yikes! What she'd do to survive the reaction?
She actually had to go on antibiotics and steroids- which she hated! those wasp stings can be nasty!!
