flying cars is not much of a realistic dream though. in order for something to lift off the ground it has to displace its weight in surrounding air

to lift a car you'd be blasting a crapload of air. small rocks and gravel near it are now life threatening projectiles

unless you come up with anti-gravity where the cars float around like opposing magnets, flying cars aren't going to happen. there's just no practical use-case for them
