History of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illegal Trafficking

From June 26, 1988, the day is celebrated every year for international drugs and illegal trafficking. On December 7, 1987, the General Assembly of the United Nations decided to resolve its 40/122 resolution on November 9, 1985, and organized a meeting on drug abuse and illegal trafficking and decided to fight it completely. This was the first step of the meeting in which Secretary-General organized an international conference on misuse of drugs and illegally distributed it at Ministerial level in Vienna, Austria.
