Soaking Up Some Enjoyable "KTV" culture at "Music Box" / 广州堂会KTV体验

Have you ever been to a karaoke club in your country? If yes, you would know that people sing songs on a stage or couch, even in front of strangers sometimes. Well, it can be quite a different experience in China. KTV, as it is known to Chinese people, is more akin to a bar or club, where they have fun on weekday evenings as well as weekends.

In my hometown of Guangzhou, people are obsessed with KTV and take this as an opportunity to entertaining guests and friends alike. Whilst a couple of weeks ago, I was invited by my sister to a very popular KTV franchise called Music Box (堂会). Therefore, I would love to share those experiences with my lovely Steemian friends.

Located in Tianhe North Road, Music Box is massive building consisting of several floors and 128 rooms in total. Equally divided into large, medium, small, party or VIP, according to your requirements .

I must admit that the room my sister booked was ridiculously large for just a mere 5 people, however it look really glamorous! There were a couple of long sofas as well as several small stools around the three coffee tables in the middle of the room. A huge TV screen was perched on the far wall. The dark lighting with its purple-tinted ambiance made the feeling almost psychedelic, lol.

Music Box is also known for it’s high quality audio equipment and their up-to-date song selections. However, it's undeniable that singing songs is the best part. So, everyone queues up their tracks and awaits for song to start playing. Living aboard for so long, I was completely out of touch with the Chinese pop music scene, therefore could only sing a few old songs from like 20 years ago, lol. But who cares, right? It was so much fun spending time with the family. We even had a mini "sing off", which my little nephew won, lol.

Music Box provides a full food service too. You can order up some tasty Chinese snacks and alcoholic beverages delivered straight to the room or opt for their "buffet" option, offered at a very reasonable price. We went for the "buffet" option as it suited everyone's tastes. Please check out all the delicious food choices in my video above.

What I love most about KTV is that you don’t need to be a professional singer to have fun. Don’t be embarrassed, just come on and give it a go. After all, your friends will be sure to cheer you on no matter how badly you are doing, haha! If you have never tried KTV before, I recommend it to the fullest as it is considered one of the most fun and popular past times in China!

不知道大家有没有去过本国的卡拉OK俱乐部呢？就是站在舞台上，陌生人的面前唱歌。如果你来中国的卡拉OK场所，体验会很不一样哦！国内人称之为“KTV”，有点儿类似于酒吧或俱乐部的形式。大家除了周末，平常夜晚也都热衷于这项娱乐。

在我家乡广州，KTV很受欢迎，很多人以此作为招待宾客和朋友联欢的节目。几周前我在广州的时候，姐姐也约我和父母一起去离家不远的堂会KTV唱歌。我在这里和大家分享一下我的体验，呵呵。

堂会KTV位于天河北路。场所非常大，而且里面装饰得富丽堂皇。它一共有几层楼，共128个房间组成，可根据你的要求订大，中，小或VIP房间。我姐姐预订的房间好大，感觉坐20人都没有问题，呵呵。房间装修得时尚雅致，亮丽的红沙发环绕着房间中间的三张咖啡桌。一个巨大的平板电视挂在墙上，昏暗的灯光和闪烁的霓虹，营造出一种舒适惬意的气氛。

在众多的KTV场所，堂会以它的超好的音响效果和不断更新歌曲而闻名。每个人在系统里输入自己喜欢的歌，然后等待歌曲播放。由于我长期居住国外，我与国内流行歌曲已完全脱节，只能唱一些二十年前的老歌，哈哈。不过没关系啦，旨在参与，和家人一起唱K还是很开心的！

堂会还提供全套餐饮服务，我们可以在房间内点美味小吃和饮料，也可以选他们这里丰盛的自助餐。我们选了后者，大家可以按自己不同的口味选食物，价格还是蛮优惠的。看看我以上的视频吧，呵呵。

我最喜欢KTV的就是，你不需要唱得很专业，只要不怕尴尬就行了。毕竟，无论你唱得有多糟糕，你的朋友都会为你喝彩的，哈哈！如果你没有试过，我会强烈推荐哦！
