International Airport of Zaporozhye

Hi Stimits. And to all my friends. I want to show you our airport and its surroundings.

We have a lot of beautiful places in Zaporozhye including our Airport. I decided to take a walk and photograph our green places to the Airport.

History of the Airport of the city of Zaporozhye country Ukraine.

The history of Zaporozhye airport is counted from October 15, 1943, the day after the liberation of the city from the German occupation. On this day, an order was issued for the Civil Air Fleet about the opening of the airport on the eastern city outskirts. After the war, the airport resumed its work in 1945. Then the daily flights operated according to the message from Moscow. At the present place the airport was moved in the early 1960s: then civil aviators were allowed to use the runway together with the military. Over time, buildings and structures began to be built, and in 1965 the airport terminal was put into operation. Until early 1990 it was one of the main airports of Ukraine. Now let me show you how the Airport looks like right now.
