TUTORIAL 1: INTRODUCTION TO GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS
I am starting a tutorial on GIS. Geographic information systems is a tool used in analysing , deleting and computing geographic data in which the results or the output is Map, charts and so on.
There are different ways of sourcing data for Geographic information systems which are Surveying, Cartography.
I would be teaching on the basics of Geographic information systems and how to make use of some of the soft wares used in this process.

Thanks for the tutorial and I wish to learn about Arcgis software for DEM. Digital elevation model
Definitely I will teach you how to use the software for DEM, but this require an Arcgis software and You need the X,Y,and Z (Longitude and Latitudes and Height) of the area of study. But dont worry, I am looking forward to buying another computer soon. Will make the video in one of the tutorial and post for you.

Sorry please, is it the same as Global Positioning System?
Global Positioning System is used in acquiring data for GIS. This tool will get the longitude and latitude making use of different satellite signals.
Informative and educative. Anyone that does not have a clue or an idea of what GIS is would have learnt about it from your introduction.
