Are AnCaps Just Selfish, Greedy Bastards?
In my experiencing, the answer has been an extremely emphatic and resounding "NO." However, the sad reality remains that many of the self-labeled Anarcho-Capitalists in the spotlight out there in the bullshit "celebrity" world, don't exemplify the AnCap/Voluntaryist worldview very well.

This is such an energizing video. Thank you for this Graham!
I wanna be like you when I grow up ;)
Hellow @kafkanarchy84
Fab post..
Thanks for your response here @kafkanarchy84 - Sure, I'll come on your show some time if you like. I feel it'd be best for me to make a video response here first though. The difficulty for me in responding to all the points being made is that to understand the direction I am heading in actually requires listeners to hold some radically different understandings about what life is and what is possible - which I am happy to explain but which takes time and which also requires people to have experiences of certain phenomena in life before they can know if what I am saying is right or not.
For most of my life I was definitely pro capitalist for the same reasons that you are and I find an-cap logic to be much better than the 'capitalism' that we have experienced for so long on Earth... However, there are some key points that I disagree with in what you have said - and for good reason. Thankfully these are not about the value of capitalism so much though, but rather they are about human psychology, our spiritual state of health and the most appropriate ways to heal, balance and evolve towards real peace that can be felt.
I'll let @dannyshine know about your video here. :)
Wanting to keep what you earn and wanting to make voluntary associations/exchanges for mutual benefit is greedy and selfish.
Supporting government planning and theft is selfless altruism for the good of mankind. If you disagree with the proposed solutions from such people, you don't even care about the problems they intend to address.
And apparently today is opposites day.
Well, yeah! Of course we are! /sarc
Today I was told it is unethical to own land. It was supposedly anarchists writing that too. Have you had this argument with people before?
What's your response?
Yes, and I always ask if I can come over to their houses whenever I want and do what I want since they do not own the land on which the house stands.
It's a strange argument because they will say, "Well, you only need enough to grow your own food." When I say I want 100 acres to do that, they are like, "Oh, that's too much." Who decides how much land is too much?!
We need private property borders, or there's no point in spending a part of your life to improve it.
If Space X flies a crew to another planet that is inhabitable by humans, do they own it?
Excellent coverage Graham
Danny Shine doesn't outright say it, but comes close to mentioning the social solution to the 'capitalism exploitation' which is typically welfare state or something along those lines. I have found that position repeated from the anarchist community in London.
I consider the welfare state thought process is part of the 'needs' based ideology, where the Ancaps are typically centered on 'abilities' based ideology. These two camps don't mix well and see things from polar opposites. Can't blame Jeff from moving on, if someone was trying to peddle 'needs' based thinking, I would find something more productive to do with my time.
I echo your experience in that the 'abilities' based folks are typically the most generous. Love your work.
These are excellent points, and so true. The two perspectives are like oil and water. Polar opposite ways of seeing things.
If Berwick did say he needed to talk to “more important people” that is still some
BS, though, and the other thing I mentioned in the video
was all the scam allegations (he’s yet to publicly address all the folks who lost thousands doing business with TDV created companies, etc), which seem to be pretty serious.
But yeah. I agree with what you’re saying about Voluntaryism/AnCapitalism.
Yeah, Jeff has a past to answer for, many thanks for pointing that out and raising awareness.
@kafkanarchy84 Maybe, but we are not so sure. How about we do analysis on that! Nice post though.
Meant to say there is "actually a lot we AGREE on" @ura-soul! ;)
