Style It Up; The Zaza Raya Collection

It's just around the corner, and you can already taste the ketupat and hear the Raya songs.... but wait... not quite yet. Hotels are shouting out their buffets for break fast, those who missed their days last year are replacing them, and messages of forgiveness from friends and family is making its rounds. And of course, families are already planning on what colour to wear this year...

That's always a discussion with my family too. It has to be a colour that suits all of us because we come in all shades. Apart from the boys and their cousin, they rest of us pretty much mix and match with the chosen colour. And if someone goes ahead and buys something first, it's like first dibs and that's the colour for the year.

So when Lazy Mom @francesaw invited some of #teammalaysiababes to a Private Viewing of Zaza' Raya Collection, I said "YES!" in a heartbeat. I first went to just check it out, and to support the event. But when I got there, I was glad I made the effort. The collection was really pretty. They were modern and versatile and in the words of the designer, it can be glamourised for a function and it can be worn to the beach. This I have to say is true.

Some of the kaftans, were made in fabric that could fit any occasion. I almost bought one but I was just a tad too big for the outfit, and had to sadly put it back. The thing is, the pieces come in very small quantities, which is great because who really likes walking in to a place to find someone else decked in the same outfit?... haha

If you are looking for a modern twist to your traditional Raya outfit this year, go check out the collection. I also fell in love with some of the shoes. If you want your footwear to wow, the chances of you walking out of there without a pair would surprise me. The bags are also show stealers. The price is decent.
