Also, there is another way to verify whether you're live or not if no one has started viewing to comment back just yet. If someone else has web access they can go to your Steemit page and click your current post to see if your stream is working. You can also open a new tab yourself with your Steemit page, just mute the post to avoid the feedback issue. Then possibly umute it momentarily to check the sound. Not the greatest option but in a pinch might be enough.
