[Dlive Exclusive] Steem surf photo giveaway: 2 Steem in prizes for week 14.
There will be two weekly Steem surf photo giveaway posts: Sunday to declare the start of the week and announce the previous weeks winners, and: Thursday is voting day.
Voting day is when I will make a special post and place all photo entries in the comments section. Here you get to vote for your favourites.
Week 14 prize pool is 2 Steem and will be disbursed as follows:
1st place: 1 Steem
2nd place: 0.75 Steem
3rd place: 0.25 Steem
All you have to do is post an amazing surf shot that YOU have taken. A quick description of the mood of the photo would be nice. I am not expecting that you tell us all which spot it is or roughly the area.
Rules:
- First tag must be intrepidsurfer
- Title must include "Steem surf photo giveaway [Week ..]
- Please indicate where the photo was taken. This will be plugged into the map.
4)All photos must be original and only posted here on Steemit. There is a zero tolerance to plagiarism. - Add a link (plus picture) to your surf photo to the comments section of this post.
- Spread the word to your friends. Easy way to meet people and potential get rewarded.
The winner will be decided by a public vote on a post I publish on Thursdays. In the event of a tie: I will decide and award accordingly.

I missed voting on time because I don’t watch videos and the voting post looked like a video post.
When I took the picture I submitted, I thought I had a winner. I gotta admit it was disappointing not to get even one vote :-(
Good morning mate, don't worry about the late voting as there is always the following week.
Last week (week 12) only two photos submitted and only two voters. Week 13 had way more people in it. I have a feeling that since the contest was down for a bit, it lost a bit of value when it comes to being placed on our blog feeds. I hope this week will be bigger still.
I hear you about the videos. I do them as they seem to pull in more upvotes. The more sustained upvotes coming into this, the bigger I can make the prizes. I will also always add a text description under the video. So as not needing to watch the video clip to get the jist of it.

You have bigger surf than we have here!
The waves that day were mostly 2-3 feet. It's a south-facing beach and really pumps when a swell comes from that direction. It used to be a "secret spot" until the Navy took the land for a base and now the public only gets to surf it once a year.
