This tutorial video goes over a quick simple way to install apk's from your laptop/pc to your Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick. In this particular tutorial I will be installing the apk for Kodi 17.6.

You will be needing the following downloads

adbLink - Download here https://www.jocala.com/

Kodi 17.6 APK - https://kodi.tv/download ( Scroll down and click the "ANDROID" icon, and select "ARMV7A
(32BIT), the download should start shortly after.

Step 1)

Setting the Amazon Fire TV to accept adbLink as a source.

On your Amazon Fire TV scroll over to settings then down and over to applications and click on "APP Data
Usage" and turn it "OFF".

Back out (using the "arrow" button on your remote) and scroll to the right to "Device" and down to "Developer
Options" and turn on "ADB debugging" and then down to "Apps from Unknown Sources" and turn that on as
well.

Back out (using the "arrow" button on your remote) and up to "About" and down to "Network", we are looking
for the IP Address of the particular Fire TV you are working on. e.x. 192.168.1.xxx

Step 2)

adbLink Setup and Installing Kodi 17.6 apk

Click "New", and enter a "Description" and the enter the IP Address of your Fire TV in the "Address" section.

Click "Connect", if on a Fire TV 4K Ultra you will be prompted with an error from "adbLink" stating that it does
not have authorization to connect to your Fire TV, at this point if you look at your Fire TV you will see a
prompt asking you to authorize the computer to have connection with your Fire TV. Once you have given the
Fire TV an OK to connect to your Laptop/PC, go back to adbLink.

***(Amazon Fire Stick users will not have the prompt asking to grant permission to the laptop/computer you
are using)

Click "Disconnect", then "Refresh ADB", and then "Connect". You should see "Connection Status", showing
connected.

Click "Install APK", find and select the apk you downloaded form Kodi's website in the link above, and double
click to select it and click "Yes" to install apk.

Keep an eye on your Amazon Fire TV, on the bottom right hand corner you will see a pop-up letting you know
Kodi has been installed. You can press the "3 Lines" button on your remote when prompted or go to
"Settings" then "Applications" and down to " Managed Installed Applications". Just hit "Launch Application"

And you have now added Kodi to your Amazon Fire TV/ Fire TV Stick

Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for more tutorials to come on other cool apk's and neat tricks with the Amazon Fire TV devices.
