Back in Norfair. I disarm two more Chozo Guardians as I collected expansions and gain the Screw Attack. Then I head for the dephs of the region.

The Screw Attack gate has a lock combination. The five gates have different timers from 1-5 seconds long. Bomb one at a time and time it to see how long it lasts before it turns off. Then repeat with the other four. Then as fast as possible, bomb each gate in order from longest timer to shortest. If successful, the Screw Attack gate will open and the upgrade is yours.
