New Town Eco Park (Bengali: Prakriti Tirtha) is a urban stop in Rajarhat, Kolkata and the greatest stop so far in India.The recreation center is arranged on a 480 sections of land (190 ha) plot and is encompassed by a 104 sections of land (42 ha) waterbody with an island in the middle.The recreation center was conceptualized by Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee in July 2011.West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO) is the larger body organizing the development of the recreation center, alongside various other government bodies in charge of execution of various works inside the park.

The recreation center has been isolated into three wide parts; 1) natural zones like wetlands, prairies, and urban backwoods, 2)theme gardens and open spaces, 3)and urban recreational spaces.The Eco Park is additionally partitioned into various sub-parts as indicated by the distinctive kinds of fauna planted.According to the arrangement, the recreation center will have diverse territories like wild bloom glades, a bamboo cultivate, fields, tropical tree plant, bonsai garden ,tea plant, Cactus Walk, a heliconia garden, a butterfly plant, a play zone and an amphitheatre(yet to be added).Further, there is plan to build up an eco-resort out in the open private association, and will likewise incorporate a territory where crafted works from various piece of the state will be exhibited.The recreation center was introduced on 29 December 2012 by Mamata Banerjee.
