Hi @jerrybanfield - I like the post but I am not sure you are completely correct despite being a fan of both #Steem and #Steemit
You are basing your assessment essentially on the traditional model ie a form of market capitalisation and assuming that the user base will push Steem to the number one slot.
I think it has every chance to be number two, and that includes overtaking $BTC, but it doesn't include for the upside potential of other #CryptoAssets.
As an example $XRP (Ripple) has a full market potential just based on the Swift exchange market of $155 Trillion dollars. That is not including for it to be taken up for direct use, such as with Santander, which is occurring currently. Even at 10% market share, $XRP will easily overtake $BTC and like #Steem has a real world application.
So great post, mostly fully agree but it will be interesting to return in 2021 and see how this has played out. What is certain is that both Steem and XRP are both likely to be major players.
You have however also just received a witness vote from me - keep up the good work, enthusiasm is catching ;o)
Andrew thank you very much for voting for me as a witness and reminding us there is always more than one way to look at things :) I think many of us would be happy with #2 and aiming for #1 is a good way to get there!
