As of now, no. They’ve been talking about adding a third full-time position to lighten the workload on the current two, but not sure if it’ll happen. We’re also getting a 40x40 black magic video router and associated accessories here in about two weeks so with both of these purchases money is even more tight than normal, doubt administration wants to have another employee to pay.
Combination of bond money and money earned from renting our facilities to outside groups (usually rented about 70% of the year). Plus we knew a guy who got us a pretty nice discount on the console, two racks, and four ME1 personal monitors and hub.
A good way to raise money for new high school theatres is to sell seats and have nameplates printed. You can make a pretty penny off of that.
The theatre I work at is remodeling the entire house area, including new seats. They sold each seat for 300$, with indefinite benefits in the future. They were gone within a month or so
Then they won't hire any staff to actually run it. The barely qualified theater teacher will be expected to run it on top of teaching class and taking care of school productions.
