The Serbian women's volleyball team wins this trophy for the second time in a row.
Throughout the weekend there have been many nerves with the European volleyball competition par excellence, the Eurovolley, which this year has completed its 32nd edition.

Yesterday's final was undoubtedly exciting: the gold medal was at stake, for which the teams of Serbia and the host Turkey faced each other and where the first ones were proclaimed champions with a result of 3 to 2 (21-25,25-21, 25-21,22-25, 15-13). Nothing the Turks could do against a fast and accurate game that shows once again that the Serbs are the strongest team at the international level.

Anyway, silver is also a triumph for the Turkish players who have climbed one step on the podium compared to 2017, when they won the bronze. The Grand Final took place in Ankara, with an enthusiastic crowd of more than 13,000 and an electric atmosphere throughout the match.

And electric has also been the fight for third and fourth places, between the teams of Italy and Poland. A match in which the Azzurri won with a brand new victory of 3 to 0 (25-23, 25-20, 26-24), which has left the Poles off the podium.

Sunday's matches ended one of the most important championships of the year, which began on 23 August. Spain has also taken part in it, and although they reached the round of 16, they lost against Poland a week ago, so all expectations of returning home with a medal were frustrated. They will try again in 2021 when the thirty-third edition of this great event arrives.
