I posted baout Competitive Heatmap Analysis on @steemhunt today and as bit of a research addict I ended up digging more on the subject. I came across this very good analysis on the weaknesses of heatmaps and I have a responsibility to share the devil's advocate side of the story, I'm not a web developer so I haven't used heatmaps in any meaningful manner. I just check out new tools and technologies for fun. 

 

It's a well written article and you can decide things for yourself after reading.
