Thai version of Pho - Vietnamese Beef Noodles

Today's lunch was at noodle shop close by to the house. The shop/restaurant normally serves Thai beef noodle, however, like any SME (small and medium enterprise) and entrepreneur, this place wanted to try their take on Pho (Vietnamese noodles). I ordered a bowl and gave it a try in order to give feedback. The taste of the broth was somewhat different as I think they were trying too hard to go for a blander taste as Thai food usually has more flavors than Vietnamese food (yet, not saying Vietnamese food is tasteless because it isn't). The noodles were spot on. I think they need to add more herbs rather than spring onion and maybe a bit more beef too. ;) Yet, the main feedback I gave is to amend the broth. They appreciated the feedback, but I bet you this dish won't be on the menu for more than a week. In general, Thais like to go with trends and it's also just the way some businesses are conducted business here, test some dishes out, but ultimately keep the original successful dishes. Still, it was a lovely bowl of Pho.

I like this fresh color soup noodles. There is no masala or sauce. I don’t taste this Thai soup noodles.

Yes, the colors are vivid, but not as vibrant as the colors of Indian spices. No there is no masala or sauces, but it still tastes quite good. You should give it a try sometime :)

Yes, this kind of noodles is my favorite.  The beef there made by beef shank is very delicious.

It is very delicious and so tender! In our (Becca and I) recent trip to Vietnam, I could honestly have Pho everyday, but I thought I should try other things too! :)

Also, hope you made that Caesar Salad the other day :D
