RCBC ventures into cryptocurrencies | Philstar.com

Yuchengco-led Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) has tied up with IBM to issue fiat currency backed
stablecoins to provide a better and faster remittance platform for overseas Filipino workers.

If approved by the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), RCBC will set the first Filipino stablecoin that will help Filipino overseas workers in sending money from abroad or remittances. This is great for mass adoption and I hope other banks will follow soon.
