Panthers rule out Newton (foot) against Cardinals

The Carolina Panthers are off to an 0-2 start. This could get worse as they face the Arizona Cardinals this weekend.

While the Cardinals tend to give teams a reprieve, the Panthers are going to be short handed since Cam Newton will not be under center. He is still nursing a sore left foot which will keep him out of the game.

Some thought Newton was a MVP candidate entering the season but injuries have hindered him.
