Instagram Hacks: 58 Tricks and Features You Probably Didn’t Know About (+ Free Download)
Instagram has come a long way since it was first launched in 2010.
Looking at the stats for June 2018, Instagram had 500 million daily active users at that time. And according to predictions, 27 million will be added by 2020.
It took me a while before I created my own Instagram account. It wasn't until spring of 2017 that I decided to set one up that was linked to my gardening blog.
Pretty soon, I didn't go into the garden without my phone. It was so much fun to share pictures of my veggies and get feedback from others...
The account still exists, although I don't post on my own gardening blog that often anymore. Thanks to Share2Steem I can now share the gardening-related pictures I post on Instagram with the SteemIt community on my @organicgardener account.
If you're interested, you can follow that account on IG here. Don't worry, although my username is 'MoestuinMomenten', all posts are published in English.
New Account = New Tricks
Because of the launch of Share2Steem, I decided to create a new account, 'simplymikeonsteemit'. (Link).
I want the account to become a channel to promote the Steem blockchain, but I've still got a long way to go. I'm trying to learn as much as I can, in the shortest time possible.
On my search for new tips and tricks, I came across Hootsuite's article 'Instagram Hacks: 58 Tricks and Features You Probably Didn’t Know About' and thought it was worth to share, since it revealed a couple of things I was struggling with. Like adding line breaks to captions, for example.
They also offer you a free-to-download checklist that will help you to grow your followers base.
If you have an Instagram account, I'm pretty sure some of the things you can read in the article will be new to you too.

I have found that instagram pictures are rather short lived in terms of being viewed it seems to go by rather quickly after posting.
True. But since IG is one of the largest social media sites, it is also our best shot at finding new users...

Oh my gosh, this is brilliant! Thanks for sharing this. I think I've been on IG since the end of 2017 perhaps, but I've been pretty active for the last year. The line breaks especially have been frustrating lately, so the tricks to get the right spacing on your post caption are great. I'll definitely have to look back through the whole article for more gems.
I'm still on the fence with share2steem because often I do end up using the photos I post on IG in a longer full blog post on Steemit. Maybe I'll look into it more to see how I could make it work. My handle is the same on IG as it is on here. :)

I am not into any other social platform aprt from steemit...but hearing of sharetosteem daily now i am thinking of making an account on instagram...and now you have your account...may be you get a new folower there 😉
