When I was in Las Vegas earlier this week, my friend told me about the biggest golden nugget on display in the world! Ain’t it beautiful?
It’s called The Hand Of Faith Nugget! A family in Australia found it all the way back in 1980! The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas has it on display, so I couldn’t help but take a picture of it.
Try to imagine finding this in your back yard!

he Hand of Faith is a nugget of fine-quality gold that was found by Kevin Hillier using a metal detector near Kingower, Victoria, Australia September 26, 1980. Weighing 874.82 troy ounces (27.21 kg, or 72 troy pounds and 11 troy ounces), the gold nugget was found only 12 inches below the surface, resting in a vertical position. The nugget was the second largest nugget found in Australia during the 20th century.
Have to wonder what was the largest nugget found, just takes a metal detector, I'm in.
