The new artificial intelligence company Cerebras Systems presented the largest semiconductor chip ever.

Cerebras Wafer Scale Engine has 1.2 trillion transistors, the building blocks of silicon chips. Intel's first 4004 processor in 1971 had 2,300 transistors, and the recent Advanced Micro Devices processor was 32 billion transistors.

The company says that one chip can run complex artificial intelligence systems everywhere, from self-propelled cars without drivers, speech recognition, image processing and pattern matching up to control software.
