DLIKE : The amazing dApp that has the biggest potential to convert Steeem Blockchain into a real Social Media

dlike, is the newest and coolest addition to the dApps family built on Steem Blockchain. In comparison to all the other dapps, dlike is different because it provides means to share links from different sites, thus providing opportunity to everyone, to share anything they like to their followers and earn out of it.

This helps to convert Steem Blockchain into a real social Media. Why ? Here are my thoughts :

If we see other popular social media like Facebook or Whatapp or Twitter, then most of the content are shared by people. Just go through your whatsapp or Facebook or Twitter and count it yourself, I am sure, you will see more than 75% content that your friends shared were not created by them. So why did they share them ? Because they liked the content and they wanted you to see the content for that reason. And in this sharing model, it reaches to millions of people and thus becomes viral.

So this indicates, that viewers are more important than creators in the sharing model, because without them, the content would not have reached to so many people. And the creator gets the value to his content only because of these viewers.

Now imagine a situation, if there were only content creators being allowed to create the content and be on the platform, and viewers not allowed !!! I am sure, you will understand what would happen in this situation.

Now coming to the comparison of Steem Blockchain vs these Social Media.

So why these viewers use these social media if they are not creating any content ? Because there is intrinsic pleasure of viewing the content as well as sharing that with friends. And there is no expectation of money in those platforms - so all it matters is the behavioral pleasure that we get by going through these content and sharing them.

But when it comes to Steem Blockchain, the moment people learn that it allows to earn money , they will be definitely interested in the monetary part. And its quite natural. After all who does not want to earn money ? But then the problem here is what do they do here and how can they earn money. Because they are not creators. And neither they get paid to just resteem a post to their followers.

So I think, @dlike fills this gap here, by allowing anyone to share anything they like and still earn money. Though there may be limits on how much they can earn, but it at least provides opportunity to bring those viewers and do something and earn. And we need these viewers for sure, to make this platform into a real social media.

Also I think, @dlike help stop plagiarism. Because, when you share a link and write something about that, you by default provide the reference. So no one need to wonder, about the source of the reference. There are many content published here, which are sometimes translations or rearrangement of words, or in better case a complete renovation of representation of the same thoughts.

If you see many successful bloggers here, they do the same : They provide a unique original representation of some facts or thoughts, which may have existed earlier in some other forms. Not all of them are inventing ( something that has not existed before) like Newton invented gravity. They are renovating.

And @dlike is helping you to achieve the same by better means. You can write your own blogs as well, without sharing a link, and that may get better rewards.

So I feel, @dlike will bring a revolution to the Steem Blockchain by providing means to bring those real mass turning this place into a real social media. And it has already caught attention of @blocktrades and @thejohalfiles , the two big whales, who can help the platform cherish.

There is a need of lots of enhancements like to be able to upload multiple images, videos etc. But I am sure the platform will implement these features as they evolve.

And also there will be more challenges for the curators compared to other platforms because in @dlike model the no of posts will be massive but I think, the community will find a way out to solve this.
