La Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), un sorvegliante assicurativo federale e fornitore di reti di sicurezza, ha emesso un avviso pubblico sull'affidamento a transazioni di criptovaluta in un comunicato stampa del 25 luglio.

Secondo il comunicato stampa, l'amministratore delegato e CEO di NDIC Umaru Ibrahim ha affermato che fare affidamento sulle criptovalute è molto rischioso, poiché non sono regolamentati e non supportati dalle banche centrali nella maggior parte delle giurisdizioni finanziarie.
