If you want to learn martial arts for self defense, you can learn those martial arts that teach you how to defend yourself in real life. There are different styles of martial arts and you can choose based on what you want to do learning martial art.

Wao. So inspiring. I think one should learn martial arts to teach him/herself self discipline and code in life. Doesn't matter what kind of martial art it is, you need to conquer yourself first before competing with others.

Martial arts can teach you a lot of things. To get health benefits as well as other important things like self-discipline, you can practice any martial arts. However, if you have some specific reasons for learning martial arts like sports or self defense that are effective to defend yourself, I highly recommend to choose some specific martial arts for that.

From the outside, it seems every martial arts are the same. Yes, there are similarities. If you learn martial arts or have any experience in real-life challenging situations, you know the difference.
