Official: American MD-80 Retirement Date | One Mile at a Time

American Airlines has confirmed that they will operate their last revenue MD-80 flight from Dallas to Chicago on September 4, 2019. Here's what we know.

I recalled the last time I flew one was from Atlanta to Indiana couple years ago.
It was loud and quick ✈️ flight.
American did a good maintenance on them so they still can fly.
This is unbelievable to see this heavy piece of metal of the ground and old.
Got to say great plane.
Will they sell them or are they going to graveyard?
I assume they could sell them for parts.
They still can fly though.
They could be easy someone else treasure.
They will advertise all along these planes for the remainder of their flights.
