Venezuela from the inside....steemCreated with Sketch.

It is hard to know the truth of the situation in Venezuela with the attempted regime change by the US and many of its allies and the western corporate media marching to the same tune. One wonders if the Venezualians that are able to reach out on social media are a fair representation of the population or represent instead the elite class that support the US regime change. IIt always makes me wonder if things are so bad how do they afford thier devices and internet feed?

This clip is from a recent visitor to the country.  Granted both he and the interviewer are declared socialists yet Caleb (the interviewer) has always proven to be fair and balanced; equally calling out deficiencies as well as praise for socialist regimes. At least consider it another perspective in the Fake News World* in which we live. ✌💛

Thanks loads for adding perspective!

It's a very complicated situation. It's nice to hear from people with boots on the ground.

For the past 7 months we've lived in a Venezuelan migrant neighborhood of Quito, Ecuador, and and later Paramaribo, Suriname, where there are now many Haitians and Venezuelans both trying to start a new life here like us. Of the hundreds of Venezuelans we've encountered in the last half-year, we haven' met one that had anything good to say about Trump, Maduro or Guaidó. I guess that reflects that the truth is always almost somewhere in the middle.

Thanks for your insights my friend. Wishing you every success in your new life.

Man, you have no idea what are you talking about, the so-called socialist are a bunch of bandits and crooks who made plenty of dirty business to obtain the power and control they have now, while at the same time destroyed the economy and the social morality of the people, you even wrote the demonym wrong it's "venezuelan" and just so you know, i am a venezuelan with the capacity to reach social media, i am not rich or wealthy and i have no ties whatsoever with the US government

You are correct of my ignorance, having never even been to your country myself, @alpvente. My apologies for my typo by the way. My feeling is that there is a large support for the ideals of the revolution in your country which are not being heard much on MSMs in those countries bent on regime change in yours.

No harms done friend, if you want to have a closer look at the situation in Venezuela and the reality in the streets check this post i just made specially for you and others who want to know more about the topic, obviously i do not have the absolute truth or all the answers but i can judge what i see and experience and share it through any media i can, hope u find it useful.
