Anger At Call For Congress To Place 'Effective Ban' On Bitcoin Mining

The efforts by the banking industry to effectively ban cryptocurrency is still a hot topic.

A banking expert testified in front of Congress calling for Bitcoin miners to be regulated the same as banks. This would effectively ban any U.S. citizens from using decentralized blockchains since they would be permissionless.

The banking industry is under threat from cryptocurrency and Washington is dragging its feet on the topic. Many feel the U.S. already lost this race with countries outside of it making a lot more progress.
