You Can Win The Battle But Lose The War
Hello everyone!!!
We often try to win at things that don’t actually make us winners. Have you ever been in a heated argument about your faith with a friend who’s not a Christian? You may win that particular argument by quoting Scripture and parts of sermons you’ve heard through the years, but chances are you won’t win later on when you invite your friend to church or try to pray with him.
Those who guard their lips preserve their lives,
but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.
Where there is strife, there is pride,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
- Proverbs 13:3, 10
New International Version
Do you find yourself arguing simply for argument’s sake? Are you desperate to always look like a winner in the eyes of those around you? If so, your priorities are way off! Jesus sometimes spoke out boldly during conflict, and other times he remained silent. Seek his wisdom to do the same
Ask God for his wisdom and discernment to know when you should speak out and fight for something and when you should remain silent.
Be blessed and keep on smiling whenever and wherever you are. Have a great day everyone! God bless us all and again thank you for your time.:-)
