God wants you to have friendships, but he wants to be the center of those relationships. When your friendships are founded on him, they’re not only stronger . . . they’re eternal. There’s a lot of strength in godly friendships! It’s important to stand with our Christian friends with whom we share convictions. But it’s also important to evaluate our friendships from time to time. Are you placing more importance on your pals than on Christ?

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
