Polar vortex could rear its ugly head soon

Things could get very cold for those who live in the northern hemisphere. The polar vortex is predicted to appear again, perhaps as early as the end of this month. Even if it is delayed, many are predicting that it will show up in January. This is a circling of cold air that usually is around the north pole. At times, a Jetstream can push it out of its pattern and down further in the northern hemisphere.
