Hacker Returns Ethereum Domains Obtained in Auction Bug

A hacker returned 17 ethereum domains that he managed to pick during the ENS auction held by OpenSea in the month of September. As per OpenSea, it was an auction bug that enabled the hacker to obtain those ethereum domains even after placing lower bid.

OpenSea promised him to pay heavy compensation for each domain he returns. Moreover, he will be refunded the entire amount that he paid to buy the domains. However, OpenSea has already paid 100 wrapped Ether (WETH) to the hacker for coffeeshop.eth. The returned WETH was valued around $14,000 at press time.

It seems he was one of the white hackers who finds out bug in a project and earns bounty for it. However, it is not so easy to find out bugs in any project. You must have to be an expert in computer programming to identify bugs. I have posted the same content on Uptrennd.
