I would also say Merry Christmas because it is the feast of Christ which is the essence of all the celebrations...Season´s Greetings is generally speaking of the season but it lacks christmassy feeling!

      Season's greetings were invented by card makers because they probably couldn't think of anything else on which text to put infront if the Christmas cards.. lol!
