The $8.5 billion U.S. marijuana industry is generating jobs at a faster rate than tech. By 2020 the industry is expected to create 250,000 new jobs in a host of new job roles — from dispensary manager to budtender.

The question is are these really new jobs?  When you think about it, estimates are that 10% of the US economy is underground.  Since maryjane was illegal, it was not recognized for employing people.  Yet all that is mentioned in this article was done by people, just not above board.

 

It might just be job transference.

I'd argue decriminalized drugs offer more jobs to the economy. Legalization only allows those with money to enter the market, meanwhile destroying smaller hands
