Sassuolo have officially signed Turkey right-back Mert Muldur from Rapid Vienna for a reported €5m.

Muldur arrives as a replacement for Pol Lirola, who recently joined Fiorentina, as opposed to countryman and centre-back Merih Demiral. 

The 20-year-old will not occupy a non-EU spot in Sassuolo’s squad as he was born in Austria and holds an Austrian passport
