Volkswagen on Friday said it will spend 44 billion euros on electric cars, digitalization, autonomous driving and new mobility services by 2023 as part of a push by Europe's largest carmaker to mass produce electric cars.

VW is positioning itself to be the leading car company going forward. They appear to be light years ahead of GM and the Japanese.
I wonder where the company is getting the money from ? If its in loans, its a gigantic investment...and risk!!
When you are in a business, you need to pay full attention in there. Any deviation from the goal won't bring the desired outcome. VW is just doing that one.
