Billions of internet-connected devices could produce 3.5% of global emissions within 10 years and 14% by 2040, according to new research, reports Climate Home News.  This would put a great strain on the resources the planet has available.  Will renewable energy help in this endeavor.

I hope that in regards to Blockchain the POS system will win over the POW, because it is much more environmental friendly than any other consensus mechanism. Thats why I'm so bullish on Steem, EOS and Bitshares they are Blockchains that you can already use and don't waste a lot of energy!

This is an interesting case.  Part of the big thirst for data is the fact that AI advancement is primarily done through machine learning.  This requires a ton of data and computation.  There are some AI experts who believe a third paradigm needs to be developed to progress further.
