The New York Mets needed bullpen help.  They were looking for help and now are getting it.  

Today, they announced they signed Dellin Betances to a one year deal with two player option years.  The reliever will get $10 million guaranteed with the possibility to earn $13 million in 2020.  

He has performance incentives built into all his years of the contract. 

A good season will make it a one year deal.  A poor season will bring him back to the Mets for a small amount.

It was a fair deal.
