Cubs' David Ross to use slugger Kris Bryant as leadoff man
The Chicago Cubs have a new manager. David Ross is taking over the reigns after the contract of Joe Madden was not renewed. He ended up getting hired by the Los Angeles Angels.
Ross made his first decision by naming Kris Bryant as the lead off hitter throughout Spring Training, The Cubs were awful in on base percentage out of the lead-off spot.
Bryant has a lifetime .384 on base percentage, much higher than the .295 the Cubs got out of the lead off spot last year.
