Interesting article, but I want more in depth!  Tigers can be dangerous for rural farmers, what have they done to change the human-tiger relationship other than be stricter on poaching?

 

In Colombia we face similar issues with the endangered jaguar.  But if someone loses a sheep, all local famimies imagine it was a child and want to eliminate the threat.  Very little is poaching related.

 

 

Sort:  

Its the largest conservation area in Nepal. No threat from it to the people. Even rhis forest share boundary with india. And its perfectly safe. Only some time elephant cross the river and disturb the human settlements.
