Of course, somebody with such noble track record is likely to have a rather strong opinion about the current landscape and Romero doesn’t disappoint in this interview with the Guardian.

After all, who thinks any of the current releases — or recent FPS games — will in 20 years still have as many dedicated players and modders as DOOM does to this day?

Even Romero launched another “mod”/extension for the legendary game last year.
