After the end you'll be able to look at the world in 2 ways. You could just be jaw dropped at the power held y these FAANG companies or you could just wonder what would have happened if they didn't exist. With great power comes great responsibility. But the power of these "Big Five" tech companies didn't come from some random radioactive spider bite. they had to build it up over the years and compete with other products and innovate a bunch of things.

The one you'd think of as the easiest would be Amazon. You could say you won't shop there. But great many websites use AWS. I think even steemit.com use AWS. Amazon also owns so many subsidiaries like Zappos, Shopbop, IMDB, Goodreads, Audible etc.
